Learn moreManav Adhikar Emergency Helpline Association stands as a vigilant guardian of human dignity — addressing child rights, gender justice, health, disability rights, and the elimination of every form of human exploitation.
Manav Adhikar Emergency Helpline Association works on the principle that human rights are inherent — belonging to every person irrespective of gender, race, caste, ethnicity or religion. As the Oxford Companion to Philosophy notes, in their strongest sense, rights are justified claims to the protection of persons' important interests.
Our laws are meant to reaffirm and recognize these rights, providing the mechanism for their enforcement. The upholding of rights is essential for maintaining human dignity — what Louis Henkin called "claims", and Ronald Dworkin called "trumps" that set limits on state action whenever it encroaches upon individual liberty.
Jack Donnely pointed out that human rights are the new standard of civilization. "All human rights for all" is the goal of our century.
